The belt probably was a good one. However,I must have had either a twist in it or the tension spring was not tight enough. The moment I engaged the blades the belt came off and went between the driver pulley and the idler next to it. The idler and drive pulley are mounted very close to each other not allowing a belt to be installed without loosing the idler pulley next to it. When I engaged the blades the belt was forced between the idler and the drive pulley cutting it slightly. Remounting the belt and tightning the tension idler allowed the mower to work until there was a BIG load on the blades. The belt fibers came apart ruining the belt.
I bought a new belt from Hustler for TWICE the price but installation was effective and is work well now. Live and learn I suppose. I did not buy from you guys again because of time in standard shipping.
