The belt seems to be well made. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong size belt. This belt is for an older Craftsman 917.271061 series lawn tractor. The belt length is 95” x 1/2” thick. I put the belt on and it seemed a little tight. The blades are turning when disengaged. Well, I rechecked the specs on sears website and the belt should be 95.5” x .5” this was my fault. Apparently there are other belt lengths under part # 144959. Just make sure you check the length before ordering. My Bad.

Left only 2 stars as this belt number, which is exactly my original deck belt number for my sears craftsman 50 inch cutting deck is one inch too short. This happened before a couple years ago when I ordered this belt number. I need a 96 inch belt, and the one I receive is 95. Last time I forced the 95 inch belt on the pulleys, and within about a minute the belt shredded due to being way too tight. Other than that, shipping, price, and selection of belts is great!
