Bought an alternator belt and it shredded immediately after installing it. When this happened it became jammed in the pulleys and caused damage to the other belts. I contacted V-Belt customer service and they told me the pulleys were out of alignment. Funny, they weren't out of alignment for the first 78,000 miles of the car. I guess this happened, right, then. So, don't buy from V-Belt guys unless you want to roll the dice and turn a 15 minute job into half your Saturday.
